As the Paris Steak Wars enters its third year, this weekend brings the best of downtown Paris to life. The event, held in South Main Iron, will feature over 1,000 prime ribeye steaks and has raised over $46,000 for the Boys and Girls Club of Paris since 2021.
Paris Steak Wars is organized by Iron Communities, a local non-profit organization focused on supporting events that benefit the local community. The board is pleased to announce new additions to the ever-growing event, organizers said in a news release.
The Friday night pre-party is free to attend, has happy hour from 3pm to 5pm, and local band Common Ground will be on stage from 6pm to 9pm. Main event Saturday.
“We are particularly excited to add mechanical bulls this year,” said Chris Estep, president of the board. “Bulls will be ready from 5-8pm on Friday and from 11am-3pm on Saturday.”
On Saturdays, the grills are lit bright and early as the gates open at 9am. Entry to the event is free, but wristbands are required for access to Steak His Arena, where show-goers can taste appetizers and steaks from all teams. Steaks are served from 12:00 on a first-come, first-served basis and are subject to availability. Organizers say wristband owners are encouraged to arrive early.
“This year we have Philip Nance, Sons of Fannin and the Michael O’Neill Band on the big stage. We also have other vendors on site such as Royal Barbershop and Rigby’s Cigars,” said Iron Communities deputy secretary. JoKyle Varner said.
Iron Communities Vice President Lea Emerson said: “We have already had an overwhelming response in pre-sale tickets and have received incredible support from our sponsors, vendors and teams.”
Anyone wishing to attend can purchase wristbands in advance, saving $5 per entry. Additional donations can be made for those who wish to participate in the People’s Choice poll. All proceeds go directly to the Boys and Girls Club.
“We have even increased the number of steaks to accommodate the growing number of attendees. With new vendors and even more space than last year, it is amazing how this event has grown.” Board member Brittany Barney Burns said, “We couldn’t have done it without our sponsors and I want to thank everyone who helped make this happen.”
