Prosecutors said on Saturday they had charged and detained a man who grabbed a police officer’s gun and opened fire on a high-speed train to Paris on charges of attempted murder.
The prosecutor’s office in the eastern town of Chalon-sur-Saône said the suspect “remained silent” after being brought before the prescribing judge, but did not name the suspect.
