The law on pension reform, verified by the Constitutional Council at 6 pm on Friday 14 April 2023, was promulgated overnight by the President of the Republic.

It didn’t take long! Just hours after the Constitutional Council approved texts on pension reform, in particular the gradual postponement of the legal retirement age to his 64, Emmanuel Macron promulgated the law. Effective September 1, 2023.
