PHS Choir Students Advance to State in UIL Solo and Ensemble Competitions | News

Paris High School choir students competed in the recent UIL Choir Solo & Ensemble Contest and 17 students received either ‘excellent’ or ‘excellent’ in the advanced level solo assessment.

Choir director Grace Henderson said, “Individual students learned the basics of their pieces on their own and practiced and perfected them each week at school.” Lindsay McCarter assisted students throughout the process. , Leanne Barbie attended to all students.”

Seven students, Katie De La Garza, James Duke, Tikiya Dunkins, Danejay Kendrick, and Kayglen Shelton, earned an ‘excellent’ rating in solo.

Eleven students, including Reid England, Isaiah Hampton, Maricella Hynite, Caitlin Huddyberg, TK Magee and Madison, received an ‘excellent’ grade in the advanced level solo, Texas on May 29.
