Storm Spotter Training Program Set for Monday | News

The Spring 2023 bad weather season isn’t too far away, and the National Weather Service and local public safety officials want everyone to be prepared. Outside Fort Worth, the National Weather Service will conduct a free severe weather training class for Lamar County at the Paris Police Department on Monday from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Officially called the Skywarn Storm Spotter Class, the program is organized in partnership with the City of Paris. This class is free to attend and no registration is required.

This class is intended for those interested in severe weather, established storm observers, and/or those who want to learn more about severe weather threats in North and Central Texas and how to prepare for them. This class is part of the NWS Fort Worth office’s annual Severe Weather Campaign. Other classes in the area can be found with a full schedule. Storm Spotter Training Program Set for Monday | News
